The department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics is well equipped and designed as per PMDC guidelines. It has a well-established laboratory, museum and animal house. The laboratory contains high tech equipment, which is used to observe the effects of different drugs on different organs in animals. It forms the basis of research for the students and embeds in them the concept of keen observation, experimentation and adverse drug reactions related to the treatment of different diseases with drugs. The department is highly organized and has an integrated, clinical oriented, interactive teaching schedule.
It is headed by Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Professor in Pharmacology, who has more than 24 years of teaching experience in Public Medical Colleges. He has five Publications to his credit.
