Teaching the Science of Drugs & Their Effects

Pharmacology & Therapeutics is well equipped and designed as per PMDC guidelines. It has a well-established laboratory, museum and animal house. The laboratory contains high-tech equipment used to observe the effects of different drugs on different organs in animals — forming the basis of research and embedding in students the concept of keen observation, experimentation, and adverse drug reactions related to treatment with drugs.
The department is highly organized and has an integrated, clinical-oriented, interactive teaching schedule. It is headed by Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed, Professor in Pharmacology, who has more than 24 years of teaching experience in Public Medical Colleges and five publications to his credit.
