From Minimally Invasive to Advanced Surgical Care

The Department of Surgery at PRTH operates two fully equipped surgical units, delivering round-the-clock tertiary care and acute emergency services to patients. The department specializes in a wide range of major surgical procedures, including both minimally invasive and advanced surgeries.
In addition to its clinical services, the department plays a key role in the education and training of undergraduate and postgraduate students, fostering academic excellence and hands-on learning.
Professor Dr. Zaka Ullah, a highly esteemed surgeon with over 38 years of experience in teaching and clinical practice, heads the Surgery and Allied Department. Prior to his current role, he served as Head of Department at King Edward Medical University and was the Project Director of the Surgical Tower at Mayo Hospital, Lahore.
