  • About the Department

Modern Facilities for Maternal & Newborn Care

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is fully established in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Pakistan Medical Dental Council (PMDC). It comprises two fully equipped units, complete with modern wards and high-tech labor rooms featuring advanced monitoring tools such as CTG (Cardiotocography) and ultrasound equipment.
The department also includes a neonatal resuscitation room, a dedicated operation theater, and a newly established six-bed High Dependency Unit (HDU) to enhance patient care.
The department is headed by Prof. Dr. Shahnaz Kausar, a highly experienced professional with extensive service at multiple tertiary care public sector hospitals. She is the author of four books on Gynecology and Obstetrics, with a special interest in infertility and Gynecological Oncology.
