A Hub for Eye Care & Ophthalmic Education

The Department of Ophthalmology at Punjab Rangers Teaching Hospital is a well-established unit, fully equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical tools in line with the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) requirements. Under the leadership of Professor Dr. Zahid Kamal Siddiqui, a distinguished ophthalmologist with vast clinical and teaching experience, the department provides cutting-edge care while serving as a hub for both medical education and patient treatment.
The department boasts a state-of-the-art eye operation theater, equipped with high-tech devices such as a Biometer and a Phacoemulsification machine — key tools for cataract surgeries and other ocular procedures. The Operating microscope is integrated with a digital display, allowing medical students and trainees to observe live surgeries in real-time.
In addition to providing top-tier ophthalmic care to the general public, the department functions as a tertiary care referral center for employees of the Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) and their dependents, as well as for non-entitled patients.

Slit Lamp, A/B-Scan Ultrasonography, OCT, Visual Field Analyzer, and Fundus Fluorescein Angiography.

Serves Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) employees and dependents, as well as non-entitled patients.
